HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO VISIT AFRICA BUT HAVE NOT DONE IT?

Dear,

HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO VISIT AFRICA BUT HAVE NOT DONE IT?

As you know we have been going to Ghana to visit with the Children we Sponsor every Year. In the past, we have presented opportunities for our Sponsors to come along with us to Ghana. Since 2007 we have had at least two people from Canada travel with us as a volunteer every year, in fact there have been 25 individuals in total. I thought I will highlight again some of the benefits of travelling with us as a volunteer to Ghana:

  1. You get to travel with us in safety with people you know, to Ghana (one of the safest countries to visit in Africa) for about 2 or 3 weeks.

  2. You get to meet your Sponsored Child in his or her village

  3. Since we travel by bus to about 6 to 8 villages where we sponsor children, you get to see a good cross section of the country.

  4. We mix a bit of R & R on our trip so you will get to see Accra, the capital for a couple of days, Cape Coast where the famous Elmina slave castle is located and do a tour of the former slave castle, which is a UNESCO historical site and also Kumasi, the cultural capital of Ghana

  5. The trip will be cheaper and safer than if you did it yourself. Some of your costs could also be tax deductible.

WHERE: Ghana, West Africa. And you can leave Ghana and visit some other African countries on your bucket list while you are on the continent.

WHEN:  Typically, we go to Ghana in the first week of March, once in a year. Next one is March 4 to 15 2025.

TRAVEL: We fly to Accra, the capital, usually fly to Europe from Vancouver and connect in   London, Amsterdam or Paris. You will spend about 3 days in Accra helping us shop for the school supplies and then we set off on the one-week road trip. You should allow 2 to 3 weeks in total for your trip.

If this sounds like an opportunity you can take advantage of, please contact me at gpiprah@aol.com. There are also some  past volunteers we can connect you with so you can hear their personal experience.
